The PSL fixtures this weekend are eight Betway Premiership games: one on Friday 30 October and seven on Saturday 31 October, with no Sunday games. The big one is the Soweto Derby, Orlando Pirates v Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium, 15:30 SAST on Saturday. Our published pick is Pirates at 58 percent. Our strongest pick of the round is Mamelodi Sundowns against Durban City, and this is the last league round before the November international break, because next week’s midweek games were postponed for the local government elections.

How we set the numbers
Each figure is the bookmaker’s implied probability for the named side with the margin removed. We take the 1X2 prices, convert each one to a percentage, then scale the three so they add up to 100. The source for each game is named in its section. Prices were checked on the morning of 30 October and will move before kick-off.
Three games already had their own preview on this site: the Soweto Derby, AmaZulu v Golden Arrows and Sundowns v Durban City. Those picks were published earlier and we do not change a pick once it is published, so the table above shows the published figure. Each section below also gives today’s market figure so you can see how far it has moved. A pick wins only if the named side wins, so a draw grades as a loss.
Soweto Derby prediction: Orlando Pirates vs Kaizer Chiefs
Our pick: Orlando Pirates, 58 percent (good), published in our full Soweto Derby preview. Today’s market is a little less sure. Sportingbet, as listed by AfricaPicks, prices Pirates at 1.73, the draw at 3.20 and Chiefs at 4.80. Margin removed, that is Pirates 52.6 percent, the draw 28.4 percent and Chiefs 19.0 percent. SportPesa and Betway have Pirates between 1.70 and 1.77.
- Kick-off and venue: Saturday 31 October, 15:30 SAST, at FNB Stadium in Nasrec. The game moved from Pirates’ usual home to meet demand, and tickets are sold out, so do not travel without one.
- Pirates’ form: second on 22 points from eight league games, seven wins and a draw, with 19 goals scored and only one conceded. Since losing the MTN8 final to Sundowns they have won four in a row in all competitions without conceding, including a 4-0 home win over African Stars to reach the CAF Champions League group stage and a 4-0 Carling Knockout win over Milford in midweek.
- Chiefs’ form: fifth on 14 points and still unbeaten in the league, but five of their eight games were draws. They went out of the CAF Confederation Cup on penalties to Red Arrows on 23 October, then beat TS Galaxy 3-0 in the Carling Knockout with a Wandile Duba hat-trick.
- Team news: captain Brandon Petersen is expected back in goal for Chiefs after nearly two months out. Pirates forward Gamphani Lungu came off after 38 minutes against Milford, so check the team sheet. It is Fernando da Cruz’s first derby as Chiefs coach.
- Head to head: Pirates won five league derbies in a row before the 1-1 draw in April 2026.
Pirates have the better team and the best defence in the league. The risk to our pick is the draw. Chiefs have drawn five of eight, and former Chiefs striker Bernard Parker told the Rio Times this week that the derby tends to ignore the log. If you want cover, Pirates or the draw comes out at about 81 percent on the same prices.

Friday: Marumo Gallants vs Siwelele prediction
Pick: Marumo Gallants, 36 percent (close). World Sports Betting prices Gallants at 2.70, the draw at 3.00 and Siwelele at 3.15. Margin removed, that is Gallants 36.3 percent, the draw 32.6 percent and Siwelele 31.1 percent. Kick-off is 19:30 SAST tonight at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.
- Form: Gallants are bottom on two points, still without a win after eight games, and have conceded 15. They lost 2-1 at Sekhukhune on 17 October to a late goal. Siwelele are 14th on six points after their first win of the season, 1-0 over Polokwane City.
- Head to head: last season Siwelele won 1-0 at home and the other game finished 0-0.
This is the closest game of the round, and three outcomes sit within six points of each other. Home advantage is the only reason Gallants are the pick. A low-scoring draw would surprise nobody.
Saturday 15:30: Milford FC vs Sekhukhune United
No graded pick. We could not find a full set of 1X2 prices from a source we could check, so we have not published a percentage. Soccer Laduma lists Milford at 2.40 and backs them to win.
- Form: promoted Milford are fourth on 15 points from nine and unbeaten in four league games, most recently a 1-0 win at Golden Arrows. Sekhukhune are sixth on 14 points, and both of their defeats came away to Chiefs and Pirates.
- History: Milford knocked Sekhukhune out of the Nedbank Cup on penalties in March 2026.

Saturday 18:00: Stellenbosch, AmaZulu and Polokwane
Stellenbosch vs Chippa United prediction
Pick: Stellenbosch, 41 percent (close). World Sports Betting prices Stellenbosch at 2.35, the draw at 3.25 and Chippa at 3.40. Margin removed, that is Stellenbosch 41.4 percent, the draw 30.0 percent and Chippa 28.6 percent.
- Form: Stellenbosch are seventh on 10 points and unbeaten in four league games, the latest a 1-1 draw at Chiefs. Chippa are ninth on eight points, have scored only four goals in eight, and lost 1-0 at home to Kruger United last time out.
- Head to head: Stellenbosch are unbeaten in the last six meetings, with three wins and three draws.
AmaZulu vs Golden Arrows prediction
Our pick: AmaZulu, 57 percent (good), published in our AmaZulu vs Golden Arrows preview. Today’s market is lower. World Sports Betting prices AmaZulu at 2.15, the draw at 3.40 and Arrows at 3.85. Margin removed, that is AmaZulu 45.6 percent, the draw 28.9 percent and Arrows 25.5 percent.
- Form: AmaZulu are third on 19 points and have won four league games in a row, the latest 2-1 at Durban City. Arrows are eighth on eight points and have conceded only four goals, but they have scored just three and have not won in four.
Arrows have drawn five of eight, so the draw is how this pick loses.
Polokwane City vs TS Galaxy prediction
Pick: Polokwane City, 40 percent (close). Soccer Laduma lists Polokwane at 2.29, the draw at 2.90 and TS Galaxy at 3.23. Margin removed, that is Polokwane 40.0 percent, the draw 31.6 percent and Galaxy 28.4 percent.
- Form: Polokwane are 11th on seven points with four draws, and lost 1-0 at Siwelele last time out. TS Galaxy are 13th on six points and have conceded 12, though Victor Letsoalo has four league goals.
A lean, not a tip. The draw is close to a third on these prices.
Saturday 20:15: Sundowns and Kruger United
Mamelodi Sundowns vs Durban City prediction
Our pick: Mamelodi Sundowns, 79 percent (strong), published in our Sundowns vs Durban City preview. The kick-off has changed since that preview: it is now Saturday 31 October at 20:15 SAST at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium. World Sports Betting prices Sundowns at 1.33, the draw at 5.00 and Durban City at 9.00. Margin removed, that is Sundowns 70.7 percent, the draw 18.8 percent and Durban City 10.5 percent.
- Form: Sundowns lead on 23 points from nine, unbeaten, with 23 goals scored and eight conceded. They went out of the CAF Champions League before the group stage last weekend, then needed effort to beat Marumo Gallants in the Carling Knockout in midweek. Durban City are tenth on seven points and have not won in four.
- Head to head: Sundowns have won the last three meetings and conceded only once.
Still the strongest pick of the round on both our figure and the market’s.
Kruger United vs Richards Bay
No graded pick. We could not find prices we could check for this game. Soccer Laduma backs Kruger to win.
- Form: Kruger are 12th on seven points and have scored only four goals, three of them from Khetukuthula Ndlovu. They won 1-0 at Chippa last time out. Richards Bay are 15th on three points and are, with Marumo Gallants, one of only two sides still without a league win.

What the round means for the log
Sundowns lead on 23 points from nine. Pirates are one point behind with a game in hand, so a derby win would take them top before Sundowns kick off at 20:15. AmaZulu are third on 19, and Milford, Chiefs and Sekhukhune are bunched between 14 and 15 points. With no league football until after the November break, whoever leads on Saturday night stays there for a few weeks. See the full table on our Betway Premiership log page.

Back Sundowns with the most confidence. Pirates are the right side in the Soweto Derby, but price in the draw. AmaZulu are fair favourites at home.
