YesPlay is a South African online bookmaker offering sports betting, live in-play betting, Lucky Numbers, BetGames and slots. It is run by SA Sportsbook (Pty) Ltd, which states a Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board bookmaker licence, number 10180204-013. The company appears on the board’s own list of licensed bookmakers. The main strength is a properly licensed local operator with clear withdrawal rules and phone, email and chat support. The main weakness is the welcome offer: YesPlay advertises a 100% deposit bonus up to R3,000 but publishes no rollover, minimum odds or maximum win for it on the pages we could read. YesPlay is licensed in South Africa and accepts South African players aged 18 and over.

Licence and safety
YesPlay’s footer and terms name SA Sportsbook (Pty) Ltd as the operator, holding Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board bookmaker licence 10180204-013, issued on 26 November 2025. We checked the board’s licence holders page, which lists SA Sportsbook (Pty) Ltd under licensed bookmakers. The board does not publish licence numbers on that page, so the number above is as stated by YesPlay. The company’s registration number is not shown on the site. We found no fines or sanctions against YesPlay in news or trade press for 2024 to 2026.
Sports and markets
The site menu offers Sports, Slots, Lucky Numbers, Casino Games, BetGames and Promotions, and the terms cover live in-play betting and lottery subscriptions such as SA Powerball. The payout limits page names game suppliers including Habanero, Pragmatic Play, Evolution, Spribe (Aviator), Red Tiger, NetEnt, Big Time Gaming and Nolimit City. We could not find horse racing or virtual sports on the pages we read. Sports bets, pre-match and live, are capped at a payout of R2,000,000 per bet, and total payouts at R30,000,000 per customer per day.
Welcome offer and the real terms
The promotions page advertises a \”100% Deposit Bonus\” up to R3,000, from a R20 deposit, with a stated duration of 7 days. That is everything the readable pages say about it. We could not find:
- the rollover, or wagering multiple, for the bonus
- the minimum odds a qualifying bet needs
- any maximum win from bonus funds
- which markets or games are excluded
The general bonus rules in the terms say bonus cash cannot be withdrawn, and that an administration fee up to the value of an offer can be charged where abuse is suspected. Because the conditions that decide what the bonus is worth are missing, we cannot work out its real value. Ask support for the full bonus terms in writing before you deposit, and do not accept the bonus until you have them. Without a bonus, the terms require you to bet your deposit once before you can withdraw it.
Payments and withdrawals
Deposits can be made by card, Instant EFT, Ozow, EFT, cardless ATM deposits and branch deposits at ABSA, FNB, Nedbank and Standard Bank. YesPlay reserves the right to charge a 5% administration fee on card deposits, so EFT or Ozow can be cheaper.
Withdrawals go by EFT or by Instant Withdrawal, which gives you a voucher number and PIN to collect cash at an ATM. Money goes back to the method you deposited with. The rules:
- Minimum withdrawal R100
- Two free withdrawals a week, then R10 per request
- Maximum R100,000 a day and R500,000 a calendar month
- Payouts may take up to 48 hours and are processed Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 16:00
- Extra FICA verification above R25,000
- A R50 monthly fee on accounts left dormant for 6 months
Mobile
YesPlay links to an iOS app on the Apple App Store and to the Huawei AppGallery. The Android button leads to a download link; Google Play does not list real money betting apps for South Africa, so expect a direct download. Install it only from the link on yesplay.bet, as our betting apps guide explains.
Support
YesPlay lists a phone line on 087 250 0575, email at [email protected] and live chat. The terms say support runs 7 days a week; daily hours are not published.
Responsible gambling tools
The responsible gambling policy offers a temporary suspension of 1 to 3 months, self-exclusion (the page says this closes the account for 6 months, with reopening through the national upliftment process), the national self-exclusion form and an activity history. It points to the National Responsible Gambling Programme on 0800 006 008 and the WhatsApp line 076 675 0710. The page does not list deposit limits, loss limits or reality checks, which is the weakest part of the review.

South Africa
YesPlay holds a Western Cape bookmaker licence, so it is a legal option for adults in South Africa. One wider issue applies to every local bookmaker with casino-style games: in October 2025 the Supreme Court of Appeal ruled that Gauteng-licensed bookmakers may not offer fixed-odds bets on roulette and other casino games without a casino licence, and the National Gambling Board said the ruling applies to all bookmakers, a reading some lawyers dispute. Sports betting is not affected. Compare other options on our list of licensed South African betting sites.
How we reviewed YesPlay
On 17 October 2026 we read the YesPlay homepage and footer, its full terms and conditions, the promotions, payout limits, contact, mobile app and responsible gambling pages, and checked the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board’s licence holders page. YesPlay’s FAQ answers load by script and could not be read. We did not open an account, deposit or bet. Sources: YesPlay terms and the WCGRB licence holders list.
