What the injuries mean for Tuesday
The goalkeeper position is the big question. Renaldo Leaner stood in for Petersen on his league debut at Golden Arrows and kept a clean sheet in the 0-0 draw. If Petersen is not cleared, expect Leaner again. Up front, Duba’s return matters most: he is Chiefs’ top league scorer with 3 goals, and Chiefs failed to score in the one league game he has missed, the 0-0 at Golden Arrows.

The Stellenbosch date, time and venue and both Red Arrows legs come from Kaizer Chiefs club announcements of 30 September and 6 October 2026. Zambia is on the same time as South Africa, so the Ndola kick-off is 15:00 SAST. The Soweto Derby venue and time come from the official SuperSport fixture list, which shows Orlando Stadium (listed as the Orlando Amstel Arena) at 15:30 SAST; some outlets have reported FNB Stadium. SuperSport lists times in UTC, so we add two hours. The 4 November round, including Chiefs v AmaZulu, now shows as postponed with no new date yet.
Four games in under three weeks
From 13 to 31 October, Chiefs play Stellenbosch at home, fly to Ndola four days later, host Red Arrows six days after that, and then go into the Derby. That is a demanding run for a squad that is still missing players, and it makes rotation likely, especially around the CAF trip. It is one more reason we are not going above 52 percent on Tuesday.
Why two of those picks are close calls
Chiefs at home to Stellenbosch should look comfortable on the log: fourth against seventh, 13 points against 9. What stops us going higher than 52 percent is the shape of the Chiefs season. Three wins in seven is not the return of a side that puts games away, and Stellenbosch have drawn three of their seven. Two draw-prone teams meeting is the worst possible setup for a pick that has to name a winner, and a possible change in goal makes it harder still.
The postponed AmaZulu game, at 44 percent, is us being straight with you. AmaZulu are third on 16 points with 5 wins from 7, a better return than Chiefs have managed, and we still lean marginally to Chiefs over AmaZulu on venue alone. But by our own numbers the single most likely result is a draw, which our rules score as a loss for a pick that names a winner. The pick stands and will be graded whenever the game is rescheduled.

This is the part that matters if you are betting Chiefs matches, and it is the reason our own Betway Premiership column looks the way it does. We took the verified log for all 16 clubs and counted the season so far.

Computed from the 16-team log, unchanged since 23 September and rechecked on 6 October 2026: total games played divided by two gives 57 matches, and the drawn column across all clubs divided by two gives 23 drawn matches. The wins and losses columns balance at 34 each, which is the arithmetic check that the underlying table is sound.
Four matches in ten ending level is a very high rate, and Chiefs are running well above even that. For a prediction site this is brutal, because a pick that names a winner and gets a draw is a losing pick.

Unbeaten reads better than it projects. On current rate Chiefs finish around 56 points, which in a normal Betway Premiership season is a top-four side rather than a champion. Converting two or three of those draws into wins is the entire difference between fourth and a title race, and Tuesday against Stellenbosch is the first chance to start.
