US Open: Zverev and Rybakina crowned
Top seed Alexander Zverev finally got his New York moment on Sunday, beating No. 8 seed Ben Shelton in a four-set final that ran three hours and 33 minutes. It is Zverev’s second Grand Slam title of the year after Roland Garros, and it denied Shelton the chance to become the first American man to win the US Open since Andy Roddick in 2003.
On the women’s side, Elena Rybakina beat two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 on Saturday to win her third major title and take over the world No. 1 ranking. It was the pair’s third Grand Slam final meeting of the year.

Serie A Matchday 4: Sassuolo stun Juventus, three games left tonight
The result of the weekend in Italy was Sassuolo’s 3-2 win over Juventus on Sunday. Napoli beat Bologna 1-0 to stay unbeaten. But Monday night in Milan topped all of it: Udinese raced into a 2-0 lead inside 16 minutes at San Siro, only for Inter to score five unanswered goals before a late Udinese consolation made it 5-3. Como beat Parma 2-1 and Roma won 2-0 away at Torino in the other late kickoffs.
