Our published pick for every round six game is listed further down, along with our real Premier League record: 9 wins and 11 losses.

Premier League table 2026-27 after five rounds

Pts is points, GD is goal difference and PPG is points per game, which is our own column and the fairest way to compare clubs once games in hand appear. Both sources list the same 20 rows with identical figures.

The table adds up, which is the first thing we check on any league table we publish. Wins and losses both total 34, the drawn column totals 32, which is 16 drawn matches, so 50 matches have been played. Goals scored and goals conceded both total 141, an average of 2.82 goals a game. Five clubs are still unbeaten: Manchester City, Brentford, Leeds United, Liverpool and Everton. Only Bournemouth, Fulham and Tottenham are still without a win.

Round six fixtures and our picks, 10 to 12 October

Dates, venues and times are from the ESPN fixture feed. The six televised games also match the UK broadcast listings on Live Football On TV, at 12:30, 17:30, 14:00, 16:30 and 20:00 UK time, which is BST, one hour behind SAST. The four Saturday games at 16:00 SAST are the traditional 3pm UK kick-offs, which are not shown live in the UK, so they appear on ESPN only. Every pick below is the one already published on our today’s predictions board, unchanged, so the same game never carries two different numbers on this site.

Sun 11 Oct 17:30 Liverpool v Manchester City Anfield Man City 51% Close
Mon 12 Oct 21:00 Coventry City v Newcastle United Coventry Building Society Arena Newcastle 55% Good

Six of the ten picks sit in our good band (55 to 69 percent) and four in the close band (under 55). None is strong. The two lowest numbers, Crystal Palace at 42 and Hull City at 40, are on the Sunday games where the gap between the clubs is 0.20 points per game and both sides draw often, so the draw is a live result in each.

The draw tax: why four clubs on nine points look better than their position

This is our own reading of the verified table. Brentford, Leeds United, Liverpool and Everton are fourth to seventh, all on nine points from five games and all unbeaten. Between them they have drawn 12 of their 20 games. That is 60 percent, almost double the league rate of 32 percent, and it is the single biggest thing separating them from Arsenal.

Group Games W-D-L Draws Draw rate Points dropped in draws
Top two (City, Arsenal) 10 9-0-1 0 0% 0
The 1.80 group (Brentford, Leeds, Liverpool, Everton) 20 8-12-0 12 60% 24
Rest of the league (14 clubs) 70 17-20-33 20 29% 40

A draw drops two of the three points on offer. The 1.80 group has dropped 24 points that way, close to three times the nine each of them has actually banked. City and Arsenal have not drawn once between them. For anyone reading the table for betting, the draw rate matters more than the position: a win-only pick on a side that draws three games in five loses whenever the game finishes level, and that is exactly where our own Premier League record has suffered.

Points per game over 38 games, as arithmetic only

Multiplying points per game by 38 is not a forecast. Five games is a tiny sample and every one of these numbers will move. It is still a useful way to see how far apart the top and bottom already are.

Club PPG now Same rate over 38 games
Manchester City 3.00 114
Arsenal 2.40 91
Brighton and Hove Albion 2.00 76
Brentford 1.80 68
Tottenham Hotspur 0.40 15

Our Premier League record, losses included

Read from our homepage on 9 October 2026, our whole graded record is 109 wins and 78 losses, 58 percent over 187 picks, and 42 of those 78 losses were draws. Our strong band has won 25 of 30. The Premier League column of that record is our joint weakest football column, level with Major League Soccer at 45 percent: 9 wins and 11 losses, 45 percent over 20 picks. We publish it because a tipster who only shows the leagues where the numbers look good is hiding something. The round six picks above are graded after full time and go into that column whether they win or lose.

The honest versionA league where almost one game in three ends level is a hard place for win picks. If a site shows you a Premier League hit rate far above ours without showing you every losing pick, ask to see the losses. No pick on this page, or anywhere else, is certain.
